Open Shop!

My shop The Rustic Lily is open and ready for business once again!  We've taken a bit of a hiatus over the summer to spend time with our families and work on some new items.

Here are some of my current favorites from the shop:

This sweet watermelon bloom headband is from our children's line, Little Lily.  I love the fun, bright colors!

We have some new rag bracelet sets in the shop now-this is our Black, White and Red Allover set.

These delicate Falling Leaf Earrings are so pretty and available just in time for fall!

Perfect for special occasions or days when you just want to feel extra lovely, our Coral Chiffon Bloom adds that pop!

Halloween is right around the corner (I know!  Where has this year gone?!) and our Hair Pin Trio in Pretty Spooky is all treat.

I love love love this antiqued brass Bird and Branch necklace-with just a little pop of red.

This is my favorite of our baby blooms-the Floral Bloom headband's center is hand beaded with pearl beads and adds some sass to your little one's outfit.

And we have a TON of awesome vintage goodies in our Vintage Lily section-this awesome Elephant Cuff is in there and would make a great statement piece for any outfit.

And because you guys are awesome and I love you, I'm offering 15% off all purchases in my shop until the end of the month.  Use code SCRAPANDSCRIBS15 when you checkout for your discount.

{Who's That} A Slip Shop

I'm so happy to introduce you all to an amazing Etsy shop, A Slip Shop!

Got a dress or skirt that could use just a couple inches more on the hem?  A Slip Shop has you covered-literally!  I asked shop co-owner, Kaity, to share a bit about A Slip Shop, how it got started and the lovely ladies behind it.  Here's what she had to say:

We are two stay-at-home moms who really enjoy fashion and we wanted to share something we love, our slips, with anyone interested. The shop began back in November of 2010.

I really wanted to start an etsy shop and I wanted to do it with a girlfriend so we could have some fun, and make a little money on the side. I convinced Jene' to get involved and that's when we began researching and creating our product. We had a concept of what we wanted the slips to be and then we went to work to make it a reality.

It was important to us to be able to provide a custom slip that could be tailored to each individual in size, length, and style (straight or a-line), as well as, provide a variety of options to accessorize any dress or skirt and add a little flair to one's ensemble.

These slips are simply gorgeous!  I have a couple skirts and dresses that are in need of a A Slip Shop slip!  Stop on by the shop and see all of the prettiness for yourself-I guarantee there will be a slip you'll love!

{Hand-made Lovelies} Felt Playhouses by Miss Pretty Pretty

I heard about the cutest shop from my blogging buddy Tammy over at She Wears Flowers and I just had to share it with you all.

Miss Pretty Pretty makes the most amazing felt playhouses.  They fit over a card table-how simple and easy!

How neat is this pirate hideout?!

This one would be perfect for my little guy-he loves playing pretend.  I love the working mailbox on the "front porch"-too cute!

How about this sweet bake shop for your little princess?

Or this cool train station for your little conductor?

All of the houses are 100% handmade by Julie, the shop's owner and can be customized to fit any size card table.  They also come with a handmade storage bag for when it's time to put it away.  I think her creations are breath-taking!

I'm so glad Tammy shared this awesome shop with me.  She's going to be doing something fun with this shop in the near future, so I'd start following She Wears Flowers so you don't miss out!

{Woohoo!}

I am happy to say we are {almost} all moved in!  It's been a week filled with LOTS of cleaning {I had to give the old apartment a head-to-toe scrub down}, unpacking and finding homes for everything.  There are still a few small things that need to make their way over from the apartment, but nothing major.

Annnnnddddddddddddd..........as of yesterday, I once again have internet!  Yay!!!
It's been kinda hard to get what I need to get done without the computer.  You know, silly things like my homework, and paying bills and getting our water turned on {here in Mulberry, the water and sewage company has you complete an application, which they email you.  Hard to get to the email without internet.}  So, today has been MAJOR catch up day.  But I wanted to drop by and let you all know that progress is being made!

And, as a thank you for your continued patience and support, I'm doing a little giveaway.

Who's That: ImJewelee (and giveaway!)-CLOSED

First things first, thank you to everyone who entered the It's A Hodgepodge Life giveaway!  And thanks to all of the new followers-I'm excited to have you!  Thanks to random.org, we have a winner!
Congratulations to Andrea, who said "I love all of Gay's crosses."
Please email your info so I can pass it along to Gay and she can send you your prize!

AND this is Scraps and Scribbles' 100th post!  This little blog has come so far!  And it's all thanks to you, my lovely readers!  Thank you : )

Now, on to this week's feature.

I'm pleased to introduce you to Julee, the mastermind behind ImJewelee.  Isn't she lovely?  Simply put, she is amazing.  Here's a little bit about her, in her own words:
"Hi, I am Julee (ImJewelee ... get it?) and the creator and designer of the XO Brand™ of Designer Jewelry Findings.  Well let me say that I love Etsy and I joined in the summer of 2008, selling scrabble tile pendants. One of mine was even featured on the front page! Then I wanted to use my creativity to design my own line of jewelry findings, so the XO Brand™ was created just for you to use to make your own creations."
I found her when searching for jewelry supplies on Etsy.  Let me tell you, she's got everything you could ever need and more, all at super-reasonable prices.  I'm just floored that she makes her own stuff-she's got everything from bails

to bead bars

to necklace chain

to charms.

Just look at her sales-the woman has had 7347 sales!  7347!  Incredible!  I love the bails that I bought from her and will definitely buy more.  She's easy to deal with-I had a question about one of her items and she got back to me the same day.

This is what I used her bails for:

Perfection!  Julee, thanks for being so awesome!

Want to win a tile pendant necklace made with one of Julee's awesome bails?  I know you do.  I'm giving away one necklace of your choice from my Etsy shop.  Here's what you need to do to enter:

1) Be a follower of Scraps and Scribbles (this one is mandatory and I'll be checking :P)

2) Check out D Squared Creations and tell me which necklace you'd like to win.

3) Pay a visit to ImJewelee and tell what you like and what you'd create with it.

4) Let your friends know about Scraps and Scribbles and the giveaway-Facebook, tweet or blog-whichever you like-and leave me a link so I can check it out.

Please leave a separate comment for each thing you do-it makes it easier for me when it's time to pick the winner.  The giveaway will run now through Tuesday, May 18th at midnight EST.  The winner will be chosen at random and announced in next week's Who's That on May 19th.
