{Whatcha Eatin'?} Philly Cheesesteak Mac n' Cheese

Good Eats and Yummy Treats is now Whatcha Eatin'?  It's a lot less for me to type : )

Last month, my siblings and I had belated Christmas with my dad (he went to the Philippines for the holidays to spend some time with his lovely fiance.)  The whole gang was at my place for the weekend.  Which meant feeding 3 times the amount of people I'm used to.  Good ole Rachael Ray to the rescue.

Sorry for the cell phone pic-I had lost my camera that evening and this was the best I had.

My Poppy got me her Big Orange Book for Christmas and let me tell you, there are TONS of yummy things in there!  I picked the mac n' cheese because 1) it makes a TON 2) everyone likes mac n' cheese and 3) it had meat in it (a must for my hubby.)  It was DELISH!  I'd make it again in a heartbeat.

Saturday night the hubby and I went out (we had our pre-planned date for the month) so I got a little dressed up

Isn't this gorgeous?!?!  I won a store credit to the Polka Dot Bungalow not too long ago and this is what I used it for.  Love it!

And these shoes?  I cannot tell you how much I love them.  Seriously.  They are SOOOOOO cute!

Tuesday night was our ward's Relief Society meeting and I snapped a quick pic before dashing out the door (the little man wanted to get in on the action, too.)

{Who's That} Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom

I told you things would get back to normal soon!  It's been a while since there's been a Who's That around here and what a better way than to kick it off with the lovely Suzy of Suzy Artsy Craftsy Sitcom.  She is amazing, I love her, and you're going to love her, too.  Take it away, Suzy!

Hi, I'm Suzy from Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom.  By day, I'm a mild mannered Executive Assistant in a large company in downtown Atlanta.  But, when the evening rolls around, the gloves come off and I become a total crafting maniac.  The family is slightly relieved by the fact that rather than subject them to craft project after craft project, I have instead chosen to subject the rest of the world to it through my blog.  Unfortunately, they soon realized that not only do I blog about crafts, but I tend to blog about them too.  Because my life is a sitcom.  And some things are just meant to be shared.

On Mondays, I like to go into Etsy with a theme in mind and showcase artists from that site.  On Thursdays, I offer a Commercial Break Linky list for anyone that would like to advertise their site, their current project, their etsy shop, their new hairdo, whatever.  It is kinda a free-for-all, no rules party kinda thing.  It's like inviting everyone into my living room and telling them to help themselves from the fridge.  I get the pleasure of your company and don't have to do any cooking.  Works for me...

And there is my buddy, Tom Selleck and his mustache.  He hangs out with me every Wednesday when I do Guest Star interviews.  He thinks it's because he's famous.  But his mustache has it's own dressing room.  Just saying. 

And every Friday, you can expect a tutorial of my latest project.  Some projects come together well, some are kinda a pain in the butt.  Sometimes I'm just as surprised as you are when the post comes out. 

You might have seen my Faux Metal Wall Art.  A project created almost entirely from toilet paper tubes.

I also do Faux Stained Glass from Elmers glue.

I guess I'm a faux kinda girl.  But one thing that you can count on with Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom is that with any luck it will put a smile in your day.  Because after all, life is a sitcom covered in glitter, hot glue strings and dog hair...isn't it?

Hand-made Goodie of the Week: {Anniversary Gift}

So, I know, my anniversary was like, 2 months ago.  But as most of you who have been following along can atest, things have been SUPER crazy these last few months for me.  I'm just glad that they're beginning to return to normal.

Anyways, this is what I made for my hubby for our 5 year anniversary.

It's a book with a page for each month of the year.

And on each page, is a date already planned and paid for.  Like this one, our date for the month is bowling.

Some of the dates, like this one, I couldn't get ahead of time.  The Strawberry Festival is a big thing here in Florida every March and my husband loves going.  But you can't buy tickets until February.  So, for this one, I already have the money set aside for it, just have to go pick up the tickets when they become available.

I decorated each page to go along with that month's date with cute little saying and sweet notes to my hubby. This is for June and we're going on a little beach getaway : )
